Beenie Man arrives in Ghana, ready to shut down Bhim Concert with Stonebwoy
Beenie Man and his his crew arrived in Ghana on Sunday to complete preparations for the grand return of “Bhim Concert”.
The critically acclaimed “King of the Dancehall” will play as a headline artiste alongside Africa’s most revered reggae and dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy, at the 2021 edition of BHIM Concert. The much anticipated event is scheduled for Grand Arena, Accra International Conference Centre on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 19:00 GMT.
Beenie Man and his compatriots received a welcome during a short ceremony upon arrival at his base in Accra. Though he’s embarking on some media engagements and touring some selected cities in Ghana, including Ashaiman, he is expected to host his first rehearsal session with Stonebwoy and the Bhim band later on Monday afternoon.
Bhim Concert, now in its fifth edition, is organized by Stonebwoy’s and his Burniton Music Group. The well-attended concert is part of his plan to highlight Ghana’s musical diversity while promoting his own brand, local artists (both established and up-and-comers), or bands, as well as engage with his grassroots customers.
The organisers say the concert, an experiential haven, adds to a growing portfolio of year-end activities that allow Africa’s massive diaspora audiences to meet their resident African middle-class counterparts at some of the continent’s biggest parties in Ghana. It will feature a stellar line-up of musicians across Ghana.
