STONEBWOY MAKES HISTORY AT EPIC 10TH BHIM FESTIVAL, SELLING OUT ACCRA SPORTS STADIUM FOR THE SECOND TIME

December 31, 2025

Globally celebrated Afro-dancehall pioneer Stonebwoy delivered a landmark performance at the Accra Sports Stadium on December 24, headlining the milestone 10th edition of the BHIM Festival. The Ghanaian superstar thrilled an estimated 60,000 fans with a high-energy set packed with his signature blend of Afro-dancehall, reggae and Afrobeats hits, creating a record-setting turnout that transformed the stadium into a sea of lights, flags and celebration.

Anticipation rippled through the audience as BHIM Nation faithful, music lovers, and international guests arrived to witness what had been billed as one of the defining concerts of the year. The atmosphere at the Accra Sports Stadium was electric, charged with excitement and the hum of eager conversations. The festival, long regarded as one of Ghana’s biggest live music events, reached new heights this year as fans filled the iconic venue for the sold-out celebration.

The star-studded night also featured guest performances from Nigeria’s legendary duo P-Square and Jamaican reggae artist Fantan Mojah, whose appearances amplified the excitement and underscored the festival’s international appeal.

Stonebwoy’s entrance set the tone for the evening. Poetic, bold and powerfully staged, he appeared on an elevated platform beneath a giant suspended gold crown, dressed in a sharp all-white outfit and crowned with a striking gold horned headpiece. A spotlight bathed the stage while fiery visuals burned across the screens, creating a dramatic and symbolic opening scene.

The performance opened on a deeply spiritual note with selections from Stonebwoy’s new EP “The Torcher,” including “Send Dem A Prayer,” “Torcher,” “Deeper,” “Outside Lifestyle,” “Samankudi,” and “Fire (Gidi Gidi).” He then moved into a socially conscious segment featuring songs such as “Run Go,” “Suit & Tie,” “Greedy Men,” and “Black People.” These politically reflective records address themes of injustice, leadership and the realities of modern African life. The audience responded with raised hands and passionate chants, reflecting the strong emotional connection between the artist and his supporters.

The show eventually shifted into full celebration mode as Stonebwoy delivered fan-favourite records including “Activate,” “Putuu,” “Sobolo,” “BHIM Nation,” “Pull Up,” and “Shine.” Each performance ignited huge sing-alongs, with the crowd dancing well into the early hours of the morning.

This year’s festival continued Stonebwoy’s tradition of delivering historic moments. In 2023, the “5th Dimension Homecoming Edition” attracted more than 55,000 fans to the same venue. Surpassing even that milestone, the 10th BHIM Festival has now firmly established itself as one of Africa’s largest independently organised music events. Beyond the impressive numbers, the festival carried emotional significance as it marked a decade of BHIM Nation culture and celebrated Ghanaian music on the world stage, as well as bridging the gap between Ghana and the Caribbean.

Widely regarded as a pioneer of Afro-dancehall, Stonebwoy has consistently expanded Ghana’s musical footprint worldwide through international collaborations, global tours and a fiercely loyal fan base.
