Stonebwoy, a BET award-winning performer, connected with Angélique Kidjo, a multiple GRAMMY award-winning vocalist on the shores of Ghana in the early hours of Tuesday.

The Beninese singer-songwriter and activist, known for her eclectic musical inspirations and inventive music videos, traveled to Ghana on November 9, 2021, to commemorate Nana Yaa Asantewaa’s death and fortitude as a headline performer at the 2021 “Grow, Unite, and Build Africa” (GUBA) Awards.

She was photographed excitedly exchanging pleasantries with Stonebwoy upon her arrival, raising anticipation of a forthcoming collaboration. Though no specifics about the further meeting have been made public, a hypothetical collaborative project between Africa’s two greatest music exports is undoubtedly intriguing.

In the past 12 months, Stonebwoy has been busy travelling across the globe working alongside other revered record producers, musicians and meeting with international music executives ahead of his new full-length project — due for a worldwide premiere in 2022. His latest album, “Anloga Junction” was released last year.
