Stonebwoy performs at 2024 Presidential Gala Dinner and Africa Prosperity Champions Awards

BET award-winning afropop singer Stonebwoy performed at a ceremony that recognized and honored business and political leaders across Africa on Friday, January 26th, 2024.

Organized by Africa Prosperity Network, in collaboration with the Office of the President of the Republic of Ghana and the AfCFTA Secertariate, the Presidential Gala Dinner and annual Africa Prosperity Champions Awards were established to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of distinguished Africans across various sectors, aligned with the Africa Prosperity Agenda.

Introduced as the “biggest music export from Ghana,” the celebrated Ghanaian musician stunned audiences at the private industry event as he debuted his latest single, “Believe in Africa,” accompanied by his band and orchestra. The song is an anthem urging and encouraging Africans to embrace their heritage, celebrate their diversity, and work together towards a more improved and prosperous tomorrow.

Stonebwoy also delved into his catalog and performed some classics and purpose-driven songs, such as Angelique Kidjo-assisted “Manodji” (off his 5th Dimension album), 2014’s “Run Go,” “Everlasting,” and “Into the Future.”

The Presidential Gala Dinner and 2024 edition of Africa Prosperity Champions Awards were held at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City, Accra, and were honored by the presence of Ghana’s president, H.E. Nana Akuffo Addo, First Lady of Ghana. H.E. Rebecca Akufo-Addo, former Head of State; H.E. John Agyekum Kufuor, President of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana; H.E. Mohammed Irfaan Ali; H.E. Faure Gnassingbé, President of the Republic of Togo; the President of the Republic of Senegal; H.E. Macky Sall; and H.E. Sahle-Worķ Zewde, President of Ethiopia, among others.
