Stonebwoy Shares Picturesque Visuals For Ir Sais-Assisted “Memories”

Ghanaian Afro-dancehall star Stonebwoy is today sharing the visuals for his latest single, “Memories”, featuring Bonaire’s own Ir Sais off his new album “UP & RUNNIN6”

The Pepe Favela-directed video taps into the warm and nostalgic essence of the track, which samples the ‘90s R&B classic “Faded Pictures’ by Case & Joe. It sees both artists offering their interpretations of old-school love, focusing entirely on their love interests and capturing their favourite moments—be it in a highly professional studio or a cheeky little photobooth.

Stonebwoy couldn’t be more direct on the song, with lines like: “You give me the energy, you be my life obsession/The way you move causing attention.”

Around him, the supple production by Dave Nunes gives way for his signature dancehall-fusion flow to mesh seamlessly with Ir Sais’ flare.

“‘Memories’ is one of those tracks that makes you want to call over a friend or your love interest to just have a vibe,” Stonebwoy tells RSA—and he tells no lie!

“It’s a good feeling to be able to produce music for the masses and continue the musical journey,” he says of UP & RUNNIN6. “This album contains authentic sounds that bring back some nostalgic feelings to the listeners. Throughout, I’m speaking the message of truth, the message of love, and the message of positivity.”
