Ultra Music Publishing congratulates Stonebwoy on Grammy Awards nomination

International independent music publishing firm, Ultra Music Publishing has congratulated African powerhouse Stonebwoy for his GRAMMYS award nomination and enormously playing a pivotal role on a GRAMMYS nominated album.

On Friday, November 10, the Recording Academy unveiled the nominees for the 66th Grammy Awards, with the Ghanaian singer earning a nod in the Best Reggae Album category for his role as a co-writer and featured artist. Stonebwoy’s nomination stems from his collaboration with dancehall icon Beenie Man on the track ‘’Zimm,” a standout single from the ‘’Simma” album.

‘’Congratulations to our incredible creatives who are nominated for this year’s Grammys. Proud and honored to be working alongside all of you,” shared Ultra Music Publishing on Instagram, accompanied by a flyer detailing all creatives, including featured artists, writers, performers, producers, and more, who worked on Beenie Man’s ‘’Simma” album.

This marks the fifth time Stonebwoy has been acknowledged by the Recording Academy for his contributions as a co-writer and featured artist on Grammy-nominated projects.

At the 64th Grammys, the albums ‘’Pamoja” by Etana, ‘’Live N Livin” by Sean Paul, and ‘’Royal” by Jesse Royal each secured a nomination in the “Best Reggae Album” category, featuring guest contributions from Stonebwoy, showcasing his consistent delivery of exceptional musical contributions. In September 2020, the Ghanaian music legend received a certificate for his featured musician role on Morgan Heritage’s Grammy-nominated album ‘’Avrakedabra.”

However, Stonebwoy is no stranger to the Grammy Awards scheme and its platforms. In 2021, he was named to the Grammy Recording Academy Class of 2021. Recently, the Universal Music Group & DefJam signed artiste appeared on the scheme’s editorial platforms, such as the Global Spin, delivering a live performance of “Manodzi” featuring Angelique Kidjo and participating in the ‘It Goes To Eleven’ series to discuss his creative process.
